In the Darkness

by Goddess of Fear   Jul 30, 2006

I am standing here
in the darkness.
With his shadow all around me
I become completely lifeless.
Closing in around myself
I just cannot move away.
He is coming closer
I can feel it now.
The darkness is nearer now
I am completely horrified.
His breath is soft but deep
I feel it on my face.
The deep powerful voice
is quickly filling my head.
I yearn to run
but his presence keeps me still.
I see a light coming from him,
and start trembling,
not wanting to burn.
Suddenly, in his large deadly hands
he beholds the dark eternal flame.
As he reaches out i flinch,
thinking he is going to strike.
He takes my timid hands
and closes mine in his.
I open my hands to see it,
the fire that's in my hands.
I have a light to lead me
but know this is not true.
The truth is simply this,
I will be in the darkness
for always and eternity.
But now everything has changed.
He says,"I am the God of Darkness,
and you are now the Goddess.
The darkness belongs to you,
for always and eternity".
Now the rest of you
are in the Darkness.
