Charades

by Sorefromreality   Jul 30, 2006

I guessed it was true
and u said I won
but then i found out
the fun had just begun

We played on for weeks
and i guessed correctly nonstop
when it came to this game
i thought i was on top

but then i discovered
that u lied throughout our rounds
you even went after my friend
whom you should know is out of bounds

so i left the game
with a heavy heart
but my body seemed to be missing
a very precious part

i trudged on throughout the weeks
and then you split with her
you came back to me
and when we kissed, i remembered

i remembered all our games
and how we laughed so much
my bitterness melted away
with your simple touch

I guessed you were being real
this time you were true
I thought I was right again
When u said I love you

But then more things happened
and i fell behind in the score
but i was always ready
and always up for more

you never had played fair
and now I'm once again alone
i don't even get a polite conversation
or an occasional call on the phone

you cheated through our game of charades
and left me playing solitaire
I've been erased from your scorecard now
as if i was never even there

In the end I lost our game
and i regret betting my heart
but you seemed to know u would win
from the very start

That's a great job. It had a lot of symbolism. It's almost like poker. lol. You play for the first time and ppl let you win to get your confidence up. Then you start betting and he wins. Great job. 5/5
