I

by john carlucci   Jul 30, 2006

I am the open space
Where the gate once stood
The profit and the pioneer
Without season
Without time
Withou reason
Without rhyme
Whipped white by the winds
Standing forth
Standing still
I am the silent god speaking

I agree with Gary Jurechka...that ''hint of rhyme'' was very moving and flowed nicely without really having any particular structure. Cool poem!

I love the symbolism and imagery in this piece.the flow is good, with it's hint of a rhyme. It has almost a surreal/abstract quality and can be interpreted many ways.Great piece. The last line is very powerful.
