We were the best of friends,
Always together,
Helped each other through things we didn't want to face alone or at all,
But we didn't realize friendships have their ends.
We faded from each other,
It was like we put up a brick wall,
We were finally laughing,
Without each other.
One day I picked up the phone,
I dialed his number,
I told him that I felt so alone,
He said well lets get together over the summer.
I agreed and now we're fine but we'll never forget,
How we could've remained sad faded memories both of us once were.
