Pitch of Black

by Kayla   Jul 30, 2006

I lay in this still position, drenched in sweat
Body numbed by the chill felt in the air
I began to cry aloud, but no hears me
I open my eyes to the pitch of black found
My heart began to beat fast; I tremble from my head to my feet soaking into a deeper sweat
Opening my eyes again wandering for light, not found by many in this pitch of black
Heart races faster, my breathes are deeper and heavier
Where am I?
My body shakes of fear in the pitch of black
My sweat is now a flowing river sending me straight to a forbidden place
The air grows thick and hotter by the second
Where am I? Screamed again and again
I realized where I was the hotter it got
I think to my self it going to be ok
But I know it wasn't
I was going somewhere I shouldn't be, because of what I had done
The pitch of black turned fiery red
My heart, my poor heart, beat out of my chest
My body rocks back and forth, shakes as if I were vibrating
Because I knew in the back of my mind the pitch of black meant that I was DEAD
