Can you hear me? I am the soft whisper in the wind.
Is it possible that I am the echoing shadow behind you?
Your hair stands up on your neck as the wind whips by,
Was that me?
Stand in the middle of the field, and raise your arms,
Not too high in the air, just shoulder length like a plane,
Now close your eyes, Can you see me now in the distance?
As the sun creeps down the horizon and you begin to fly.
Lay on your back in the Ocean and spread your arms,
Relax, and float on top of the currents of the worlds,
And stare up at the light blue sky and breathe deep,
Can you feel me holding you in my arms yet?
Can you see me? I am the presence you feel at home.
Or is it possible that I am the security you feel at night?
You dont know why but your heart begins to beat, you smile,
Was that me?
Run outside, and march forward down the street,
Let yourself sweat, and run faster till the wind picks up,
Can you feel my lips against your neck?
Tilt your head to the side some, Im there.
You can feel me; you stopped when I said to,
The car ran the light, you would have died,
But you heard my voice in the wind, my hand
On your shoulder, my strength holding you back.
You looked up to the sky at me and remembered,
That once smile I gave to you everyday next to you,
As the sun rose every morning and I was there.
Until he pulled back the trigger, the silencer shielding the noise.
The black roses rained that day over my coffin,
And you stood their with stained tears trailing down,
With your hand pressed against my casket as it creped
Six feet under in the ground.
You cradled a knife each night still crying,
Trying to press hard enough against your skin,
Frustration building up inside as to why you couldnt die.
I never left your side, and held you back as I cried.
I woke you up gently each morning till you did it yourself.
I wrapped my soul around your heart each day until
You were able to breathe in deep with out my help,
And now you smile and I just watch you come back alive.
Now, its my time, to say good bye,
Ill love you forever and watch you from above.
My once love alive again without me.
