I open my eyes,
I hear crying,
What is going on?

I put on my slippers and crept down the stairs,
I still hear crying,

I tip toe down the hallway into the kitchen,
my mother's not there and still I hear crying,
What is going on?

I walk to the bedroom,
my mother is crying,
What is going on?

I sit down beside her,
as she still cries,
