In a dream

I saw you tonight, but only in a dream. You told me you still loved me, but it was still only a dream.

I held your hand and walked away my tears, we held each other so close, and oh so near.

You kissed me and told me you were always going to be there, but in my dream, that's the only place you have that kind of love and care.

You rubbed my arm and cheek until I fell asleep, in your arms is the only place where I no longer weep.

I woke up and it was back to reality, a world where I've ruined everything, and you're now only my fantasy.

I walk alone knowing how I've caused our relationship pain, so now with me, the pain will forever remain.

I want to show you I've changed my ways, but no answer or nothing every single day.
