I'll always be with you

by Desperation   Jul 30, 2006

I see you swinging on that swing set over yonder.
I try to figure out how I feel.
But my mind just seems to wander.
I get down on my knees and kneel

And I gaze up to the deep blue sky.
The clouds roll on through.
And I close my eyes.
Theses thoughts and feelings seem so new.

Am I a Baptist, a Lutheran,a Catholic?
Am I a friend or a foe?
It's now become my choice but I can't seem to pick.
I just can't figure it out, I just don't know.

Am I alive or dead?
Theres a yearning in my soul for the truth.
"I am always with you", is what God said.
The voice of god speaking so smoothly.

I care for my family, friends, and even my foes.
I care for strangers, lost friends, lost enemies, lost souls, and a lost world.
I care for all of those.
Even those babies little heads of curls.

I stand up again and look over yonder.
Your eyes seem to look into my soul and ponder.
I see you sitting on that swing.
Just screaming aloud, but to me singing.
Pushing on through a world of such hurt and pain.
Your face and eyes seem happy that I have came.

I look into myself once more.
I finally see all that potential you gave me.
It seemed like I had to dig all the way down into the earths core.
To find out who I was really meant to be.

I kneel down to praise my life and my god.
I clasp my hands and bow my head.
I open my eyes and look over and see a single nod.
"I always be with you", is what he said.
