I wander through
This lonely abyss
Wondering where it all went wrong
Was it something I did
To deserve this fate

Reaching out for hands to hold

That ran away from me

Believing there is no one
To capture and hold it for me
Until I battle my way through
I know He's there
'Though too far out of reach
He's close at hand
Yet leaving too soon
Abandoning my hope
As I yearn for Him to stay
But knowing this destiny
I grasp on even more
Burrowing myself further
From this hope I long to know
For at this time and place
I found this peace
Forever forbidden
Yet sewing me back together
