I become numb

They say my eyes are protected with ice,
there's no longer a fire burning inside,
they say my heart is black and cold,
but it wasn't like this before I've been told.

I say I'm okay even though I still cry,
but my smile is just a lie,
no one sees my black heart inside,
but they will see in time.

I hide my tears,
I hide my fears,
I hide from love,
I become numb.

    A black heart huh'... be careful - it might turn into stone... and that, can ruin a whole lot... take it from somebody who knows.
