Shouldn't Have Let Me Go

by Kristina   Aug 1, 2006

If I were you,
I wouldn't have let me go.
If I were you,
I would have held on to me.

You don't know,
What you're missing out on.
You don't know me,
Like you think you do.

The me that you thought you knew,
Is only one part of me that you know,
There's so much more to me,
But you let me go.

You should have stayed by my side,
Should have taken a chance,
Not just walked on by,
Not knowing what we could have been.

Now we will never know,
What could have happen,
If you and me were together,
Because you pushed me away.

Hmm, the ending of this poem seems like you hve trouble letting go too.
Only because you mention 'WE' will never know. Getting over someone is hard, but you hurt yourself more when you don't. Good poem, I use to know that hurt too.
