Inspired By My Daughter

by confused angel   Aug 1, 2006

I guess about two years ago
I finally met a man
He promised me impossible dreams
And of course he turned and ran
When he left I quickly learned
Just how to raise my baby girl
No father around and that's okay
She's still her mommy's world
Countless men are all the same
It seems to never change
You think you've found the perfect one
And at once he's gone again
But single mothers don't despair
For I know how you feel
Life's lessons are hard and we can't win them all
So we just learn to deal
Stay strong and teach your kids well
They will thank you for it later
For not letting them turn into their fathers
Cuz unlike them, our kids will be much greater!

The message in this is really strong - and very true.

Stay strong and teach your kids well
They will thank you for it later
For not letting them turn into their fathers
Cuz unlike them, our kids will be much greater!

To be these lines reallly stood out as I was raised by my Mum.
This is a lovely uplifting poem that should inspire single Mums.
    Thanks for sharing. Great job.
