For My Forever Night\'s Rest

by xoxShorteexox   Aug 1, 2006

The room was slowly spinning,
& my heart racing from one side of my ribs to the other.
As the only thing I wanted,
slowly slips away.
In that every second,
you disappeared.
With nothing,
but skin & bones left of me.
I watched the world pass me by,
& waited.
As people slowly watched me become a shadow of my former self.
Laughter wasn't in my life,
& smiles, I had forgotten how.
I gaze in that mirror for the first time in mirror.
As the glass broke in two,
I watched my heart break too.
Just when I thought I had cried my last tears,
more came.
As the tears ran down my pale face,
I heard the door slam.
He walked in,
angry.
I knew what that mean,
time to hide.
Within precious seconds,
I'd cut my arms.
Finally, smiled & waved good-bye to the last person I cared about.
By the time we arrived at the hospital,
it was too late.
I was fading too fast,
& the cuts were too deep.
I loves you,
didn't matter anymore.
I gazed at him,
& slowly closed my eyes for my forever night's rest.
