The clouds darkened and passed by
The thought of losing you came in to mind
Missing the smile on your face
And the warmth of your love
But life still went on.
The day came were my life stopped.
You left that morning saying enough is enough
My heart was broken in to two.
But life still went one.
I cried for days and thought that I started a flood
I built a dam to keep it from coming
but some how it did.
Life still went on
I see you now down the street looking at me in the same odd way.
The mistake was made
The bond was broken
Our life's shattered
Life still went on
Time passed by with out a word
Wind was mild
The rain was light
The thunder was soft
But life still went on
My life is so quiet
And so still
The only life is me
And my dog Sue
But life still went on
Not one minute has passed
When I think of you
Your smile
Your love
But life still went on
One day you came back
All black and Blue
You held me
You said you loved me
But life still went on
It was a dream
To bad it wasn't real
My heart aches
For the one I call my love
But life still went on
I end this poem
With out a doubt
The words have ended
