September 11

by Sophie   Aug 2, 2006

Down the northern sister fell,
Collecting all in her path of destruction.
The dust rose blocking the sun,
And the city stopped to watch.

Following her sisters lead,
The southern tower descended.
Together they smoked, defeated,
Smothering New York in a blanket of fear.

A loss of control consumed the city,
The panic seemed contagious.
Fire engines wailed for miles around,
Tears were shed and prayers not answered.

In the middle of the chaotic scenes,
Two skeletal sisters remained.
Torn open hearts and a city ripped to shreds,
While the eyes of the world were transfixed.

    Beautiful.
The wording was spectactular, what a great way to tell the tragic tale.
