Crystals are smeared upon my flesh
A shivering mockingbird, I am
Frozen like fresh,white snow
They bite my muscles and bones.
My corpuscles wail with endless pain
Gradually, losing their auburn glow
Each artery shrinks into the size of a capillary
And each vein loses its elasticity.
My eyesight begins to be waekened
All my nerve endings, dead
My heart begins to hums like an old engine
Hypothermia begins to creep in.
The rainbow in the sky fades, slowly
Soon, to vanish into the mouth of darkness
Tomorrow will never come to see me, again
Today is my turn to rest.
