Kentucky Rain

by RainbowSlider   Aug 3, 2006

It sure rained a lot, today.
The sky was a pretty blue.
Blue grass is nice for play.
The reunion was so nice, too.
I am oiling my Kentucky rifle.
So I will have to go to war.
The insurrection has to stifle.
Marching like the day before.
Nice seeing grandpa in Canton.
The Ohio river flows so true.
I miss the days spent in Scranton.
I will miss my family, too.
Life used to be so simple.
Everything is just rearranging.
In my shirt pocket is a thimble.
I can see the world is changing.

The writing and vocabulary was (once again) superb.
