At Peace With Nature

by xoxShorteexox   Aug 3, 2006

Seeing this older lady with her cat,
in her orange turtle neck,
& black dress.
Her cat on a leash,
watching her stare at the mountains,
& peacefully listening to the river.
As we drive by,
her cat waving it\'s tail,
& the woman\'s hair turning white.
As we passed by,
& I couldn\'t see her anymore,
it made me smile.
To see someone so at peace,
with the river & tree,
& the mountains, so dark green.
The river slowly touching the banks,
the old woman just listening to nature,
& with that orange tiger streaked cat.
The woman standing so still,
& the cat sitting on the rocks,
as it\'s master watching the clouds.
On this bright,
& sunny day in August,
this old woman made peace with her surroundings.
