A Child of Hope

by Alba Miranda   Aug 3, 2006

I hear your screams, your calls for help
Lonely child, my heart you melt

I sit and watch your pain amplify
Internally my heart begins to cry

I witness the attention that you so desperately seek
Your cruel neglect makes my soul collapse weak

Your throbbing heart I wish to calm
Questioning how she could possible call herself your mom

Sadly she has long forgotten the angel you truly are
And that every child dreams upon a star

I'll pray continuously until a wrong is made a right
I promise one day the sun will shine beautifully bright
