Children Of The Corn

by RainbowSlider   Aug 3, 2006

We saw stock market crashes.
G-men came with their axes.
Our stills made sour mashes.
They said we didn't pay taxes.
We didn't have any choice.
We had to feed our folks.
They didn't hear our voice.
Just the words they spoke.
Their dynamite exploded.
We had to go without food.
Our families corroded.
They just chopped wood.

I'm crazy 'bout the fact that you used children of corn as a title, expecially hwen the poem has nothing to do with the movies (love the movies by the way). It was a delicious surprise.
