D-Day for my heart

by Lindsay   Aug 3, 2006

You came to me, walking with purpose
Took my hands and led me aside
He explained how he felt it wasnt working

I felt my eyes burn
My heart dropped
Tears filled my eyes
He looked away
I knew he could see my hurt
He had a stunned look on his face
Like he expected that I wouldnt care

He finally dropped the A- bomb
Right onto my heart
It shattered
Reinforces we sent to try and repair the damage
He dropped another
Explaining about another girl

I broke
He walked away
Expecting me to walk it off
I didnt move

Crying from the deepest well in me
The darkest tears form
Images of her soul coming out
Spilling onto her hands

Hurt cuts so deep
Deeper than any razor could ever reach
Deeper than any one could ever repair

Her broken heart, withered and frail
Lays torn to shreds
By the one person that had once lived in it
