One

When you touch me gently,
as you sometimes do at night,
the world stands still and focused
then i meet your eyes,
i brush you away,
your warmth i cannot accept,
this warmth that makes cold still colder,
so much colder when you've left
but of course the weakness comes,
as even the dieing gasp for breath,
so i pull you close again,
your arms snaked with mine,
two become one,
inseparably entwined,
together we caress,
one heart in two chests,
your eyes they consume my spirit,
your form melts to mine,
and not the clocks in the room,
nor the stars and the moon,
dare to speak of time,
this rapture last eternally,
but even eternity has it's end,
when our embrace brakes,
emptiness will find me again,
and so it happens,
i look to the wall,
no shadow do you cast,
no form to halt lights fall,
you are gone and I'm more alone,
so much more alone for it all,

You make it difficult to give brutal criticism. i found the flow to be flawlessand the content excellent. If it will make you happy I will say the poets of old would not have stretch thier poetic licence by not capitalizing their i's lol

Being a lover of sad love poems....this really spoke to me. Good imagery, nice twist. 5/5
