Truely not that strong

by alyssa   Aug 4, 2006

Her strong heart
Her strong emotions
Her strong manner
Her strong devotions
Her strong opinions
Her strong way of existence
Her strong approach
And her strong decisions

Her beam of delight
As she walks in through the door
Those who knew her
Knew just what they saw

Her heart was crushed and tattered
From a guy she used to know
Rage was now a frequent sentiment
In which continued to grow
Her emotions were all veiled
They hurt too much to explain
She lived in fear, she lived in secret
She lived in pain, day after day
Her manner was her reason to live
Her motivation to go on
Her devotions of those whom she loved
Kept her growing strong
Her opinions only mattered to her
For no one else seemed to care
She felt a pain deep in her heart
That no one really cared
Her way of existence was all just a camouflage
The real her was at all times heartbroken
She wished for the courage to come to her
So she too, could have spoken
Her strong approach, was also lies
She was never truly strong at all
She was a frail adolescent
Nothing less or nothing more
Her decisions were all useless
In the end, thoughts of nothing other than death
But in a way she was the strongest
She refused to take her last breath

She may have been disconsolate
She may have been in the depths of despair
But she cherished one thing, more than most
She treasured that she was there
