Lost Hope

by Kristin   Aug 4, 2006

She sits in the corner
all scrunched up tight
The temptations back
but she puts up a fight

This is nothing new
it happens everyday
She lies to herself
and says "I'll be okay"

But the urge grows stronger
and she clenches her fist
As she makes crimson blood
Pour from her wrist

It's the only way
She knows how to cope
But everyday that passes
She loses more hope

Hope that maybe someday
things will improve
She's already lost everything
there's nothing more to lose

Every night after
she climbs into her bed
She lays there dreading
the life she has ahead

Her music is blaring
loud in her ears
As she squeezes her pillow
and cries in fear

Tomorrow will be hell
just like the day before
In school she'll get picked on
Probably called a w h o r e

People will threaten her
Until the point that she cries
Making things way worse
increasing her wishes to die

She'll get home at night
and again it's no surprise
The house is empty
Yet full of lies

She feels so alone
and like this isn't real
It's just no use
its how she'll always feel

She'll go get the razor
and roll up her sleeve
Once again
She'll make herself bleed

For that moment
when she tears through her skin
She feels so alive
but she'll never win
