Summer Crush 1

by BrokenREALiTy   Aug 4, 2006

Met you just a week ago,
And I find it kinda impossible.
But it seems that I might be into you,
You're so irresistible.

So you're not the cutest guy,
And the smoking is a turn off.
But when you touched me,
You set my heart on lift off.

I'd seen you around before,
And from my friend, I knew your name.
On my best friend's birthday,
Love was the game.

At first we didn't talk much,
Actually we didn't really talk at all.
You paid for my Game Works card,
But for you, I didn't fall.

From a distance,
I actually thought you were cute.
But once you got close up,
My Cute Radar went on mute.

Then you suggested we watch a movie,
Birthday boy and the rest of us still there.
You didn't really talk to me,
I began to think you didn't care.

But once the movie started,
We began throwing the popcorn around.
A huge bucket's worth of popcorn,
Was now spread on the ground.

We were watching the Little Man,
And all of you wanted me to eat.
You acted like the popcorn was an airplane,
And I found that so cute and sweet.

You guessed that I was eighty pounds,
And of course I ain't.
We were getting along pretty well,
And I felt a little faint.

Then we went to birthday boy's house,
And I was still the only girl.
You really didn't catch my eye,
And I didn't want you to be my world.

You were extremely hilarious,
I was pretty interested in you.
But I really didn't think,
That you felt the way I do.

Later out of no where,
You asked me how much I really weighed.
I wouldn't let you know,
And the fun didn't fade.

You picked me up, off my feet,
And carried me into the hall.
Tried to put me on the scale,
But soon I'd make you fall.

You gave up and stepped on it yourself,
Said you weighed one twenty.
I didn't realize what you were planning,
But then you began to weigh me.

Picked me up again,
And stepped onto the scale.
Couldn't exactly tell how much I weighed,
But you made me out to be a whale.

An hour or two later,
Our friend was about to leave.
I thought the weight thing was all over,
If only I knew you had another ace up your sleeve.

You picked me up again,
And carried me into the bathroom.
I kept kicking and shrieking in surprise,
And you put me down soon.

I still wouldn't step on the scale,
And I walked straight out the door.
You yelled at birthday boy for not stopping me,
For you had nothing else in store.

Then we left together,
Me, you and our friend.
Walked up the hill talking,
I told you how much I weighed in the end.

Then our friend went the other way,
And we started walking together.
I wondered if it'd be appropriate to hug,
For we hadn't known each other forever.

But in the end,
You opened your arms first.
So we ended up hugging,
And I guess I ain't cursed.

All summer I'd wanted to meet someone,
And now you came along.
I wonder if you're the one?
Or maybe I'm just wrong.

But I can't stop thinking about you,
No matter how much I try.
I wonder, were you interested in me?
And if you were, why?

Hehe..that's cute! I hope it all works out! I know EXACTLY how this feels...ill tell u my story...lol k so i was at this Jazz Camp (yeah...kinda geeky...i know...lol) and there was this HOTTTT guy named Patrick. he kept staring at me and i got really excited! lol so then i finally started talking to him and we got along GREAT..and then his best friend told me he was gay and had a boyfriend and he seemed COMPLETELY serious. But then, we were in this listening class and Patrick kept trying to put his arm around me...so i was questioning the fact that a GAY guy was hitting on me? lol so then i found out on the last day of camp that he's NOT gay...and he gave me like 2 hugs and asked for my number...so it worked out for me...i hope it will work out for u! lol sorry about my boring story...haha great poem! 5/5 :)
