IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY BROTHER-IN-LAW JOHN PADILLA

by Just Val   Aug 5, 2006

**My Brother-in-law Passed away on July 19, 2006, it was a extreme shock, and so sad. I wrote this in memory of him.**

.
I awoke to a phone call early one morning,
The news hit without even a warning.
How can it be true?
I haven't a clue!
Shock hits first,
But mine isn't the worst.
Think of his mother, his father, his sister, his brothers,
And the place he held in the hearts of others.
You see, it's not that he didn't care,
It's just life can be so unfair.
It seems so unreal
Imagine how his mother must feel!
A child taken from her,
Her life now, perhaps only a blur.
He left behind his own you know
But for them their feelings don't quite show.
Young ages only 3 and 8,
Death is so much to put on a young child's plate.
It's almost like we have to say goodbye,
But we know we'll cry.
So we won't, instead we'll remember your embrace,
Your kind face,
Your laughter,
Your kindness that shall be remembered for years after,
Your memory will remain,
In the lifes of your kids, although not quite the same,
But your spirit will stay
And each night as we all go to bed for you we will pray.
