I am on your Side

by Wasted Fake Smiles   Aug 5, 2006

You say I'm always fighting you, but I'm on your side,
I've always been there if you wanted to die.
I've always been here to give you a hand,
Always been there to support you and your band.

I'm on your side, when times were rough,
Was there to comfort you when life got tough.
So, how could you say I'm against you after that?
Why would you go off calling me ugly and fat?

We were best friends, and I was always there,
Now you make me feel bad because I always cared.
You're just under stress and that I understand,
I'll give you the time you need, I'll be back on demand.

I love you, and I always will, believe me,
But if you need time alone, don't worry you're free.
I am on your side; so don't let it get you down,
Just please don't give up, and don't frown.

I love you.

Normally I hate these kids of poems because usally theres a lot of forced rhymes. This was really good in that way because it just flowed. I think you can write better with better language but its a good job, keep it up!
