As I layed there in my bed
The words kept running through my head.
"I have cancer," I heard you say,
You didn't know I was listening, but I went to school crying that day.

I felt so sick, so sick inside,
My friend took me into the bathroom and held me while I cried.
"It's okay," she said to me,
"He'll be okay, he has to be."

When I told you I knew, you started to cry,
but you told me you weren't afraid to die.
It wasnt dying that you were afraid to do,
You were afraid of leaving me and Mom alone without you.

I prayed Please God, don't take him away,
Please dear God please let him stay.
I love him so much, I'm nothing with out him,
With out him my life will be dull and dim.

I love you Dad, I just want you to know,
I love you Daddy, I pray you won't have to go...
