She never saw it coming
she didn't know it would hurt so bad
she finally trusted a guy
that wasn't her dad
but then he hurt her
and broke her heart
she started to notice
her life falling apart
she would cry every night
when he wouldn't answer the phone
she felt ditched
she felt alone
he said he loved her
but she knew it was a lie
he said he hated
to see her cry
but she wondered to herself
if he hated it so much
then why would he do it
she couldn't bear his touch
she knew he was slipping
further and further away
she couldn't figure out
why he wouldn't stay
so finally she let go
she finally said goodbye
she loved him still
but she couldn't take one more lie
now shes moved on
by once in while
she thinks of him
and all she does is smile.
