Drink my life away

I drink to ease the pain,
to hide away the tears,
To make life seem easier,
and get rid of all my fears,

Vodka and orange is good,
or even rum and coke,
A little bit of gin and tonic,
but brandy makes me choke,

I drink to drown her out,
when she gets really mad,
I storm up to my bedroom,
when she tells me I'm all bad,

She treats me like a child,
always telling me what to do,
It makes me want to scream,
I don't want to be like you,

I try to talk to my friends,
but they never want to know,
I havent got anyone left,
Now I just want to go,

So I'll sit crying in my room,
drinking my life away,
Fall to sleep on my floor,
and wake up on a better day.
