Maybe You Will...

by NothingGoldCanStay   Aug 5, 2006

Maybe you will realize.
You forgot about me.
When you had that party.
Now look what's to be.

Maybe you will realize.
You forgot about my birthday.
When you passed my house.
Oh look, someday you will pay.

Maybe you will realize.
You forgot I was alive.
When you looked at me drowning.
But no you just kept at a drive.

Maybe you will realize.
You forgot I loved you.
That I was willing to die.
That I take a bullet, oh what to do?

Maybe you will realize.
You forgot to stay with me.
No you just abandoned.
I was gone, I could not see!

Maybe you will realize.
You forgot to give me my heart.
You took from me.
That you had it.. from the start.

Maybe you will realize.
You forgot about this poem.
When you clicked on my name.
And would not answer your phone.

Rhyme scheme. I've been so into free-verse and descriptive poetry lately, that I have not read one of these for..a while.

I while meaning a day, which is plenty.

I like that you used "Maybe you will realize'' every single stanza, but the title of the poem is ''Hopefully you would realize'' so that is a little different.

I don't know, I like the poem, great flow and everything...

    Good job.
