Living A Lie

by AmazinglyEmpty   Aug 5, 2006

Living a life of lies,
Making people like me,
For what I'm really not,
Showing what people want,
Hiding what I really am.

I want to come out,
And show the world,
How I really act,
But no one would look,
Not turn a head,
Not care one bit.

Hidden behind,
This mask of nothing,
Everything you like,
And everything I hate,
All in one mask.

Holding on to it,
As tightly as if it were my life,
Hoping that someday,
I can let it go,
And just be me.

Watching the moon fly,
Across the beautiful sky,
No one would care,
That I do that every night,
Not a single person,
Would care.

Holding on to hope,
That's all I have left,
Hoping that sometime,
Someday,
I can come out,
For who I am.

Watching others,
Live their lives,
Living who they are,
And not what they aren't.

Asking for the fake me,
To come and join,
When the real me,
Wants to hang back,
And disappear.

With out the real me,
I don't know who I am,
I'm just someone in a mask,
Hiding away from truth.

-x-I hope each day, I can come out, for who I really am-x-
