What Is Love?

It is not Passion, or sentiment,
Or idle words,
Nor is it mere affection,
No, love is much more....
.... so much more than these.

It is caring, and sharing, and understanding,
It is accepting another's faults,
It is unselfishness,
Kindness when others are cruel.

It is putting another's needs ahead of your own,
No matter what awards we win,
Or what good we do,
In this world,
If we do not have love, we are nothing.
