Left Behind

From my start I have always been left behind
It wasn't my father so he left me behind
But it was my mother and she left me behind
My sister and brother showed nothing but hate and they too left me behind
The way I was treated made me a very angry child which made people walk away and leave me behind
And when I lost control my mom locked me away and left me behind again
But I had a brother who was always there and he died and he had to leave me behind
And as I age and grow older people still leave me behind
And even though I was treated with unkindness
I never treated others the same as I was
And I never leave my children behind
And never do I leave anyone else behind
