The Choice

The young boy cries,
He has to make a sacrifice.
His mind is mixed,
Of problems that need to be fixed.
He is unsure of which choice to make,
For one may be a mistake.
His heart he must follow,
Even though it feels hollow.
He looks into her eyes,
Says his goodbyes.
A tear rolls down her face,
She feels like a disgrace.
She let him in her heart,
Thought their heart would never part.
He let her go,
So she would know.
He never wants her by his side,
It feels like her heart has died.
She slowly walks away,
Hoping for him to stop her and say.
"I'm sorry, Please come back to me"
"I don't know why it took so long for me to see"
"Our hearts belong with eachother"
"There could never be another"
But that dream soon leaves her mind,
When she turns to find.
The boy she thought she loved so much,
Can live without her gentle touch!
