Celestial Love

by LoneWalker   Aug 6, 2006

Show me what makes your loves duress
that took away the hands you once caressed
what wilts the rose in your heart,
the black shroud that tore it apart.

in the shade of the moon,
the water is rippling,
reflections, of the past
lament those emotions
scared these feelings will always last.

small rays of light glint at the tears
and show your woes and fears
the trickles run down your face
their path, a trail of sorrow
wiped away to leave no last trace

the Herrick sings it's last song
and the night angel cries a last goodbye
left in solitude you know it'll be long
the once celestial love in thy heart is soon to die

*note to readers, is the Herrick really the bird of undying love?*
