Love On The Lost Highway

by RainbowSlider   Aug 6, 2006

I searched the maps of forgotten forever.
I trudged the endless miles of desert.
Hoping someday we could be together.
I made many wrong turns and it hurt.
The loneliness sometimes was unbearable.
I became so lost on the lost highway.
I made many mistakes; Some were terrible.
I kept asking, "Are you going my way?"
"Hop on in", some would say as I got in.
Others would just drive on by not caring.
But then I met you my wonderful friend.
You gave a bite of love's awesome sharing.
You said get comfortable and don't rush.
It was so nice to get out of the rain.
I am so glad that you taught me trust.
I was in Oz; "If I only had a brain."
You love is so soft, gentle and pure.
I am so glad to ride shot gun for you.
Where ever we go I know we will endure.
We ride through hell with a love so true.
