Today.

As I walk down this windy road of deceit today,
The wind lightly breathing secrets into my ear,
And the sun beaming on my bare shoulders,
As they lightly shade into color.
My thoughts swirling in the dust being kicked up,
And my tears falling deep in the pit of my stomach.
For today is the day, where I tell myself there is no need for tears.
And the crimson coating will lightly fade away again.
A heart so fragile shattered by my own silly mistakes,
And not every mistake has to be made bigger than it actually is.
And I take my sweet time making up the reasons
As to what I did, but when do I tell the truth?
And today will be the day where I admit that I was wrong,
And I take responsibility for my actions,
Because sometimes in the story of life,
You have to be able to end a chapter,
In order to begin a new one.
