The fear of self-esteem

They say that self esteem
is the factor scale of self worth
so self esteem sways decisions
when judging someone else

the good you see
in the deeds thats done
when you're helping someone

the regret you feel
when you hear of suicide
cause one hates the morning sun

the way you feel
about the blessings
the creator gave to you

the mindset of your work
not just the fun
you gravitate too

how you feel
when you face the fact
that you have to do life alone

or the way you deal
with empty nesting
after the kids are gone

the way you feel
about pride
displayed by children
of the slave master

the pride you hide
that could pull you through
when dealing with this disaster

the stand you take
when the power of the rich
attacks the little you own

the stand you take
for the brothers and sisters
that still call your arms home

the reason that I fear self-esteem
cause i know the God I AM
as the master of the Ying and the yang
I am the vice juror over the land

the reason i fear self esteem
is because i know I'll rise
even when there are those who plan
my ultimate demise

behind closed doors they plot and scheme
my genocidal death
So my self-esteem, honor and duty
will fight them till my last breath

my self-esteem has overcome
every obstacle thrown my way
so every obstacle in front of me
has a number on it's day

I once tried
to hide the greatness inside
for fear of my own path

but self esteem
said I'll be a king again
standing over the aftermath

self-esteem under attack
won't let me turn the other cheek
especially when the low self-esteem of others
wants to see me extinct

self-esteem helps you keep in tact
the balance of your soul
so I'll fight for my babies life
so they will never be bargained and sold

the reason that i fear self -esteem
is the affliction of daily pain
for all the wrong they've done to me
if to them will I do the same

in a nutshell i fear self-esteem
because in a moment i may act rash
because self-esteem under attack
will make me kill someone's ass

so i fear my self esteem
