Distortion

by Lenny   Aug 7, 2006

When you are near me,
The sky starts to twist,
Distortion, distortion,
Pigments fading in,
And the rain,
Pours it rainbow,
From the clouds,
Empties its cup of lust,
Silver dollars precipitate,
And the glitter is swept,
Confetti in the wind,
The sky is a palette,
Of your mess and disorder,
Like an artist gone completely insane,
Buckets of red,
And ice cream cones of blue,
Tipped and thrown,
In a food fight of colours,
The trees and the hills,
Merge into your smile,
And your embrace engulfs me,
Vision lost within your arms,
And your chaos sky is plagued,
By your reality, by your face,
Consumed in my fairytale,
Reveries hum in your eyes,
And your touch distorts,
As Im lost to the world,
Captured by you,
And your fantasy novel,
Addiction to this fiction,
Your shined armour,
And your golden crown,
Your sky of distortion,
Your dreams and your touch,
And the rain,
Pours its rainbow,
From the clouds,

Distortion.

I liked this a lot and the imagery was the best I've seen from you. Awesome stuff. My only crits would be to remove unnecessary commas -- that's kind of a pet peeve of mine about line breaks, but thats a personal thing. Also the second iteration of 'your sky of distortion' says 'Or' -- Not sure if that's intentional but something I noticed.

My fav parts were between "And the rain,"
    and
"Like an artist gone completely insane,"

    Sweet!!
