My Past

Now that love has faded
the pain all but gone
we'll go our own ways
and maybe never meet again

My world will never be complete
for you've taken a small part
from somewhere deep inside
you've taken the love from my heart

And now I stand alone
with little hope left in sight
and just memories from the past
to keep me company through the night

But I would'nt trade my past
not for anything I could of had
for without the past there would'nt be you
and my life would have been so sad

    This is truly a poem of love and loss, but as they say, it is indeed better to have love and lost than to have never loved at all.Still the pain lingers, but from my own experience, it will fade, and as long as you retain the capacity to love, it will find you again.Never regret any love given, it will come back to yousomeday, somehow.Keep the hope alive in your heart.
