Angel with the broken wings

Here comes the girl
wrapped in ribbons of deceit
and clothed in anger
she walks like an angel
but her halo is scarred
and tinted with evil
she's had to learn
about the demons inside
but she's still pure
though her smile is faded
and the cracks show
look at her angel face
so pale and untouched
but notice the tiny
frown line on her forehead
her pain starts to show
there goes the girl
smothered in the scent of lust
and wearing shoes of doubt
she shines like a star
but but her light is fading
and burning away
she's had to fight
the pain with anger
but she's still pure
though her body is bruised
and the cut's show
look at her perfect arms
but turn them over
to reveal the bloody lines
where with a razor blade
she lets her pain start to show
just look in the mirror
and see the girl
