Summers Sonet

by Kyle Bowen   Aug 7, 2006

A summers moon sets in the night

as all young disruptive rebels postpone their fights

Silence is heard, no words of beings are spoken

as the thoughtful white ember of the moon gives light to the diamond star tokens

the air is calm, the wind lay a watch

as the sweet honey dew , envelops to the window notch

here plays the music of the cricket dance

as they sing, purpose, in their fixture stance

but all must say their farewells , at the glance of the sun kings eye

as its shadow creaks through the window where the children lie
