Can't Find My Way Out

Lost in the dark
No light in site
Fear rounding the corners
Scared of losing the fight

I'm alone and frightened
No place to run, no place to hide
I'm the only one in the room
With no one to confide

I see a small light
Or is that my mind playing tricks
I stand in the dark
With my eyes transfixed

I walk closer
But it starts to move away
