Insanity

My heart is broken; my eyes full of tears.
She showed me pain and the worst of my fears.
I feel so low forsaken and broken
Though all the comforting words are spoken

I tried to get up; she pushes me down.
In fear I'm always looking around
To see if she is waiting to send
My life back to the ground again.

She said she loved me; but used me and left
Me all alone. my heart is bereft
Of all feeling and hope that once it contained.
I wondered if I should here remain.

I became so sick, so filled with hate
That life was so clouded, I hardly ate.
I plotted my revenge and waited for the time,
When I could string her up on a line.

I did it. I killed her; she's buried in the ground,
In a place in which she could never be found
I feel so free, yet so afraid
That she could haunt me even from the grave.
