Fool

by Iola   Aug 8, 2006

I've said goodbye a million times,
And yet you stick with me.
I've tried to let go of my fate and pride,
From this prison of love I must flee.

I've pressed you out and waved goodbye,
A million tears I've cried for you.
I've prayed and rebelled and yet I reply,
Each time that life treats you cruel.

I've wrote you off and cut you out,
And laughed at your love like a fool.
I've even made fun of your trust and I shout!
At you because life is so cruel.

I've told you to go and leave me alone,
You assured me our love can't be broken.
You visit me at night and touches my heart of stone,
When furious it's you that's soft spoken..

Telling you twice to go - you're no longer needed.
You assure me that this is not true.
I feel nothing for you can't you see it!
Don't touch me - you are a fool!

You said I have naked eyes,
That pierce you till you bleed.
You told me we're binded by eternal ties,
Waiting patiently to plant your seed?

I've told you that you are scaring me,
Because I never knew love like this.
I'm furious at you for all you can see,
Just leave me in my faithful bliss..
