My Heartbreaker Prince

by Sarah Ann   Aug 8, 2006

Packing...because I need to move
To leave your memories behind
Each drawer was emptied one by one
But you still engulfed my mind

Pictures, dusty in a cardboard box
And I couldn't help to see
Something last night caught my eyes
Photographs of you and I

I tried to push the thoughts away
I admit I almost cried
It's been so hard, so difficult
And it hurts deep down inside

You looked so sweet and happy
Made me think that it was true
Tears keep dripping, photos are wet
Once again I think of you

You held my hand and kissed me
Violated, crossed the line
Fake smiles, posing, (everything)
Was figured out in time

And now I sit here crying
For perhaps, the millionth time since
Hurting once more, demolished
By my heartbreaker prince

Awh. That's really sad. Yet very nicely written. I liked the structure and flow of this one. I don't mean to like be "Ms. Grammar" freak, but I don't know if this matters, I am just pointing it out..

    "Photographs of you and me"
I think it might look and sound better if it was 'You and I' But it's your choice just caught my eye.

And I loved the last Stanza it was absolutely amazing. Yet again wonderful job.
