Plasticine

by Wings Of Flames   Aug 9, 2006

Plasticine covered heart,
A stench of lust and crime,
Socialists and mockery,
The dawn is yet to chime,

The trees are a plastic shame,
Grass is faker still,
Wooden tables are so hollow,
This is the dollar Bill,

Value of your pounds and pennies,
Shed numbers from the weight,
Wasted time? Injustice!
How did we maim our fate?

Fumigations of our homes,
Our towns are blown to bits,
Children playing in the streets,
Plasticine is all that fits,

Words of a different colour,
The end of this putrid time,
Gang war. Gang rape,
Our obscenity is so sublime.

I'm not to sure why all the poems I've read from you so far have been rated a little low, they seem pretty damn good to me.. anywho, I liked this one also. Nice flow, nice rhyming. A great job!

I really like this poem, I thought it had a good, strong political message, nice flow and rhythm and great use of metaphor. I think this is th ebest of your work I have read recently as some of it has been a bit abstract formy tastes but this definitely showed ur skill as a writer, well done.
