Sh lays on the floor with her pillow over her head
this is he lie that she's come to dread

she hears the yells she hears the screams

she goes to school pretending life's OK

when she goes to sleep at night in her tiny room
her dads out there on the cough with alcohol ready to consume

then she's woken up at night With her mothers cries
